Overview

At the beginning of each January bills are mailed to town property owners.  For property owners whose taxes are held in escrow, bills may be forwarded directly to appropriate lending institutions.

Payment schedule information is contained on each bill. 

In an effort to control the spread of COVID-19 and to protect our residents and employees, Broome County Real Property will no longer offer off-site collection for school or property tax payments in any of the towns. 

Off-site tax collection office will be centralized at the Oakdale Mall, former Sears building and the Broome County Office Building, Edwin L. Crawford Building.  Both locations will have a drop-box available for payments as well.  The former Sears location will be open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm for collection of current taxes only, September and October for school tax payments and January through March for property tax payments, for the districts and towns that Broome County Real Property collects taxes for.

Important Information

• Please check address on bill, if incorrect fill in on stub part.
• Be sure checks are signed, and the amount is the same as the written portion.
• Unpaid taxes after March 31st are directed to the Broome County Finance Office (607-778–2161)
