Overview

The mission of the Town Board and Youth Commission is to provide a safe, social environment free of charge to all residents living within the Town of Kirkwood. The Town feels that all the youth in the Town have the right to enjoy youth programming and activities.  Any Town of Kirkwood resident may compete in youth sports free of charge, all surrounding communities are also welcome, for a small fee.  Questions of eligibility and cost may be directed to the Recreation Supervisor listed above.

Quarterly newsletters will come home via your child's school.  Sign-ups and current information will be included in the newsletter.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Town’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is normally held on the weekend before Easter weekend at River Park or Bell School.  All youth involved in the program will hunt for candy and special eggs.  Also there maybe a special appearance by the Easter Bunny.  The Easter Egg Hunt is open to all Town of Kirkwood Residents.

Christmas Party

The Town’s Annual Christmas Party is held the first Saturday in December, in conjunction with the Kirkwood Hometown Christmas.  Children will be able to go on horse cart rides, visit with Santa’s Elves, and get their last minute Christmas wishes in with Santa before he returns to the North Pole.  Also there are special appearances by Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Mickey and Minnie Mouse.  Children will receive gifts; snacks and beverages will be provided.
